Do food-insecure households in Mathare slums know that it is Christmas?

Christmas time is not only a time to be merry with family and party but it is a time to be happy and make others happy.

According to World Food Programme, up to 828 million people go hungry every day. The figures keep on rising. This Christmas, it will not be any different for food-insecure households. Christmas is a day to celebrate and prepare Christmas dinner with families and friends. The essence of Christmas by Saint Nicholas is to spread love and care about each other by spending time with family and exchanging presents. It is hard to spread love to a hungry stomach making it hard for them to know that it is Christmas. This Christmas while enjoying a Christmas Turkey Dinner with the people you love, spare a pound and let them know it is Christmas by feeding a food-insecure family in Kenya Mathare slums. Let us spread love to the people facing food uncertainty.
